Tell us about the portal LifeStylePakistan,which is one of your main project?
Ever since I started my career,I have had two major goals:
firstly to improve the image of Pakistan globally, and secondly, to enhance the country's economic growth. Given that my area of expertise is IT, I decided that the best way to achieve the first goal was by making use of technology. With this end in mind, we designed a portal called LifeStylePakistan.com. Like Yahoo or Google, it is a search engine, as well as a gateway of information about our country. It covers everything from fashion and entertainment to tourism and education. The goal is to showcase the beauty and culture of Pakistan, and to counter the negative impression of the country prevalent in the global media. The website has great advertising potential. One can even fund NGOs and blood bank through it.
That proved to be a very valuable learning experience and I gained a lot of knowledge about the global oil and gas sector. Given my thorough understanding of this sector, I now plan to set up my own engineering company. It will seem like an ambitious idea to many, but given the right business plan, you can excite the mind of investor. This is one of the projects we are working on currently and we hop to start production some time next year.
When was Alp Business Service Management(ABSM) set up?

Alp Business Service Management was set up in 2004. Even though I have grown up abroad, I consider myself a Pakistani and I have a great desire to see my country progress, especially in the IT sector. With this end in mind, I set up my own company so that i could foster growth and development in the local IT industry. I convinced Dutch IT entrepreneurs to come to Pakistan and help me build up the company. The senior management now is all Pakistani.
What exactly does Alp business Service Management do?

ABSM is a business service management company. We understand that customers and the environment are more demanding than ever. Successful businesses have to deliver quicker and globally in order to maintain a competitive advantage. At ABSM we know that a business is essentially a coordinated collection of business services that are delivering value to the customer. This is done by helping businesses optimize operations, develop, enhance and expand their marketing and sales channels, increase global reach and approach new customers. We provide services to companies in the UK and USA, as well as Holland and Belgium.
